In part, this is a reprint of a thread on "infrastructure stimulus" over at Maryland Politics Watch.
Basically, we propose that with the completion of the Montrose Parkway end-to-end from I-270 to MD-586, and the establishment of Bus Rapid Transit on both the Parkway and Viers Mill Road, immense tax revenue might be available to the County if it established a policy of eminent domain condemnation or conversion of most of Veirs Mill Village -- at least the hilltop at Randolph and Viers Mill Road -- into mixed-use high-density extremely-walkable and transit-served new facilities.
I do believe I could possibly get the Smarter Growth coalition to get on board over all of this.
More to come, later, once enough controversy has erupted.
